Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Win. As awesome as its name is it isn’t Samsung’s best, but it’s a very nice mid-range offering that should come in single and dual-SIM variants (depending on the region). Inside is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch WVGA display, a 5 megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording, a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage, a 2,000 mAh battery and more. For software, expect Android 4.1 with a hint of TouchWiz, featuring Easy Mode, Smart Alert, and more.
Samsung Galaxy Win will be available in two different versions - single SIM and dual-SIM, depending on the market. The Galaxy Win launched in China was a dual-SIM model. It will be available in two colour options - Ceramic White and Titan Gray.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Win comes with several enhanced smart features, such as Easy Mode, Smart Alert, and Motion UX. Easy mode is the home screen mode that gives smooth access to the top functions of your smartphone. With the help of Smart Alert you can get the notifications for events you may have missed such as missed calls or deadlines. Motion UX, on the other hand, makes use of functions such as Mute, Refresh & Update, and Scan for other devices with simple motion controls.
Easy Mode, as you might have guessed, will transform the user’s home-screen in an easy-to-digest collection of app shortcuts and information. It’s something that should help ease new smartphone owners into the cool pool instead of cannon-balling right into an icy sea of Android goodness. Smart Alert will automatically bring up notifications about calls, messages and calendar deadlines that have come in since you last picked your phone up, meaning you’ll never miss out on what’s important.
So where, exactly, is this little boy wonder headed? Welp, it’s actually already out in China under another name, but other regions — a list of whom doesn’t exist just yet — will get a crack at it soon. Samsung’s standard Titan Gray and Ceramic White are the two colors users can look forward to.
